Hong & Calvin - 26 April 2009

Does it look like it was only 8 degrees in these photos, not really but it was!! Another cold one but still, an incredibly beautiful wedding. Hong just looked amazing and photographed so incredibly well, she made my job easy!

We actually did manage to get out in the weather for a very short time but made the most of some of our indoor location too (kinda my faves). ENJOY!!!!

Nick & Bethany - 25 April 2009

What happens around Anzac Day in Canberra……….everyone turns their heaters on for the first time, right???? Well that theory certainly didn’t let us down for Bethany & Nick’s special day!!! We had all the elements again - 11 degrees, wind, rain, sunshine, thick black clouds and beautiful, beautiful light!!!!

Over 200 guests packed the Chapel to witness a very moving ceremony between Bethany & Nick with a surprising, yet VERY effective entrance song by Guns N’ Roses (you had to be there).

I found out from Bethany & Nick only a short time ago that they both have some serious musical talent, both in guitar and singing. Oh my, they didn’t let me down….. I encouraged Nick to bring along his pride and joy for the shoot but decided to put them on the spot and asked them to sing for us. One could almost say I was crying (mostly from the wind and rain in my eyes) but they sang beautifully together…..THEN, the whole bridal party came in. UNREAL! What a talented bunch of young people these guys are, they absolutely blew us away.

For such a big wedding I could not have felt more at home with both families. I loved every part of this awesome wedding – right from the early stages of the day in the Tullis family home to doing the Nut Bush on my chair at Old Parliament House. All of which made a perfect day with perfect photos.

Shannon & Aaron - 18 April 2009 (the full set)

Shannon & Aaron really are adorable. They were both just beautiful people to photograph, we all had such a wonderful time together.

Talk about a perfect day to get married....21 degrees sunny perfect is what I'm talking about!! We had the prettiest house to shoot for Shannon’s prep shoots, I couldn’t help but get excited by all the luminous light bouncing of every wall – even though the girls probably thought I was a bit odd by my level of excitement!!!

We also explored another few firsts for me... Shannon & Aaron were very trusting to give me free-reign with the location shoot. After a few “rekkies” that morning I found some treasures close by to the reception that really inspired me to jump fences – I mean get really awesome photos. Awesome day was had that’s for sure.... xxxxx

2 of my bride's together, Nikol, you're next!!
